Dark and hopeful, this album is juxtaposed with itself. To mourn the death of the old king and celebrate the crowning of the new king, all in a dungeon synth tone. I was personally caught off-guard with how old-school this album is. I love everything about this work, and anyone even remotely interested in the DS scene should check it out. An Old Sad Ghost is one of the big titans of Austrian Dungeon Synth!

What a wonderful way to begin the year in the bleak and serene landscapes of winter. “Saturnales’ music is a hymn to seasons, humus, ice and winds, made for self-dedication rituals and connections with ancient european deities.” Not only is this artist already lock step aside an aesthetic but the addition of non conventional instruments make this an understated joy to experience.
